Private William Ward of the 4th Battalion Scottish Rifles (Cameronians) died by accidentally falling into the Clyde in the early hours of the morning of August 22nd 1914 at Fairfield Dock, Govan, whilst on guard duty.
He was married to Elizabeth Taggart and aged 35.
He was submitted as a case By Jim Grant late last year for me, along with that of his fellow battalion member James Devine.
Cheers,
Derek.
